Boy with Conch Shell

Molly Judd

I have always tried to take my personal stories and bury them in more eternal narratives

My artistic practice has been developing since a very early age, my mother and father are both artists and expressing myself visually has always felt most true.

On finishing school I focused on learning to draw from life and to study the techniques of the Old Masters such as Titian and Goya.

After spending 2 years in this Classical manner of training at the Florence Academy of Art, my eyes were opened to the expansive Representational Contemporary art movement and it was at this time that I went to study with the Norwegian painter Odd Nerdrum.

Painting in the studio with Nerdrum my work began to take a new direction and started to develop my interest  in storytelling through compositional works.
